EverCrisp® lives up to its name—crisp, sweet, and refreshing from the first bite to the last. A cross between Fuji and Honeycrisp, this apple combines the dense sweetness of Fuji with the signature crunch of Honeycrisp, making it perfect for snacking or tossing into salads.
Arriving later in the season, EverCrisp® apples are known for their durability, maintaining their firmness and flavor for months in proper storage.
The variety was developed nearly 23 years ago by Mitch Lynd, an Ohio grower and founding member of the Midwest Apple Improvement Association (MAIA)—a grassroots, grower-owned apple breeding cooperative. Also known as MAIA-1, EverCrisp® was created through natural, controlled crosses, with the original “mother tree” planted in Indiana on an MAIA member’s farm.
