A third-generation apple grower in Southeast Michigan, Scott Swindeman has 55 years of apple growing and selling knowledge. He is a proven pioneer in bringing managed varieties to Michigan. Scott has served the apple industry both regionally and nationally throughout his career. In addition to serving with Applewood Fresh, he is a partner in his family business, Applewood Orchards, Inc., in Deerfield, MI.

Brian has spent over thirty-six years working for some of the largest companies within the produce industry, working in procurement, business development, and most recently sales and marketing. Brian demonstrates a firm commitment to bettering the fresh produce industry as a whole through consistent engagement in industry events and programs.

Dan Heeren has been a staple to the apple industry. In fact, produce runs in the family—he started working for Heeren Brothers when he was 13. As Director of Supply Chain & QA for Applewood Fresh, Dan will continue to be an integral part in allocating packing schedules, logistics & troubleshooting.

After growing up in Port Huron, Michigan, Allyson sought out Grand Valley State University where she obtained both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees. Allyson has had experience working in both the healthcare and insurance sector but has come to love the produce industry where she can help serve people near and far. As the Director of Accounting and Human Resources, Allyson is able to utilize her love for numbers, organization, and people to help carry out the mission of Applewood Fresh Growers.
